Dr. Eva Maria Bäcker lives in Cologne, Germany. She studied Sociology, Psychology and Ethnology at the Ludwig Maximilian University (LMU) in Munich, Germany. She wrote her doctoral thesis about “Identities of Family Entrepreneurs”.
Since 2011 she is active as Scientific Manager at the International University of Applied Sciences Bad Honnef-Bonn. Furthermore she is Lecturer at the Berlin University for Professional Studies and at the University of Oldenburg.
She was participant of the Summer School for Women Graduate Researchers in Graz, Austria.
Her focus lies on distance learning. From 2008 – 2012, she was Scientific Employee at the University of Distance Learning in Hagen (Institute of Education and Media Research). For more than 10 years she is training online-tutors and developing online-course designs.
She deepened her knowledge in Web pedagogies at the Harvard University extension school in Boston, USA.
Eva Maria Bäcker is a certified intercultural trainer and conducts research about intercultural competence in Gabon.
