These seminars have been important in the students’ structure of study and help them in improving their research completion rates.

“We organize research workshops as a tool of keep students in academia and also equip them with skills to complete their dissertations,” says Dr. Doris Kakuru, Dean School of Business and Management (SBM).

The Dean urges students to always attend research workshops to benefit from the power of assignment. She explains that those who don’t attend miss important assignments and announcements that are beneficial in their studies.

“It is important for us to keep the students active in academia and help them complete in time (2 years),” she added.

Speaking to Mr. Denis Omvia, a Lecturer in the School of Business and Management, raised some of the challenges he observes as a supervisor.

“Both students and supervisors need research training on how to undertake research and to keep up-to-date with issues in academia,” says Mr. Omvia.

He also noted that; “The quality of work that students present is dropping because some so not adhere to our research guidelines.”
