Uganda Technology and Management University (UTAMU) is proud to announce that Dr. Stuart Semujju and Dr. Joseph Michael Okwadi Tukei represented the institution at the high-level Central Region Sensitization Workshop on Tuesday, November 26, 2025. Organized by the Network for Education and Multidisciplinary Research Africa (NEMRA) and funded by MAKRIF, this event was a critical step toward establishing a national Research and Innovations Academy.
UTAMU’s participation underscores its commitment to advancing Uganda’s research agenda. The workshop focused on key strategic goals, including the creation of a national e-Research Platform to coordinate researchers, the establishment of a robust research forum for knowledge-sharing, and developing effective mechanisms to ensure rapid research uptake, translating academic findings into practical applications for national development. By engaging at this level, Dr. Semujju and Dr. Tukei ensure UTAMU remains at the forefront of academic excellence and innovation policy. This proactive involvement solidifies UTAMU’s position as a leading institution dedicated to producing research that offers real-world, scalable solutions in Technology and Management Sciences.
