Certificate in Artificial Intelligence for Work and Business

Artificial Intelligence (AI), particularly generative AI, is rapidly changing how people write, communicate, analyse information, serve customers, conduct research, make decisions and run businesses. Yet many employees, managers, entrepreneurs and graduates either do not use AI or use it without a structured understanding of its capabilities, limitations, risks and responsible-use requirements.

The Certificate in Artificial Intelligence for Work & Business is therefore designed as a short, practical and accessible professional programme for non-specialists and technology users who want to apply AI confidently and responsibly in real work settings. It is not a programming-heavy certificate. The emphasis is on using readily available AI tools to improve productivity, communication, analysis, creativity, customer service, business operations and decision support while protecting confidential information, checking accuracy and maintaining human accountability.

Career Prospects

The programme is intentionally organised around practical outputs. Participants will build an AI-assisted workplace toolkit and complete a capstone project that solves a genuine workplace, organisational or business problem.

Target Participants

  • Managers, supervisors and administrators in public, private and non-governmental organisations.
  • Entrepreneurs, SME owners, start-up teams and business development professionals.
  • Accountants, finance, procurement, human resource, marketing, customer service and project staff.
  • Lecturers, teachers, researchers and postgraduate students seeking responsible AI productivity skills.
  • Lawyers, health administrators and other professionals who require general workplace AI literacy without advanced programming.
  • Graduates and job seekers who want practical AI-enabled employability skills.
Programme Objectives
