
Ms. Juliet Nakayenga

Ms. Juliet Nakayenga is a seasoned Ugandan statistician with over 15 years of progressive experience in economic statistics, price indices, and data analysis. She holds a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in Statistics from Makerere University and has built her career at the Uganda Bureau of Statistics, where she currently serves as Principal Statistician.
Her expertise spans the compilation of national and regional Consumer Price Indices (CPI), Residential Property Price Index (RPPI), and harmonized indices for COMESA and EAC. She has led teams in data validation, statistical modeling (Excel, R, SPSS, STATA), and the design of price collection methodologies. Juliet also contributed to regional consultancy projects, including the development of CPI software for the East African Community.
A member of the International Institute of Statistics and the Uganda Statistical Society, she is recognized for her leadership, training, and capacity-building roles. Juliet combines technical rigor with strong interpersonal skills, making her an effective team leader and collaborator in advancing statistical systems for national and regional development.
