Programme Objectives
The Executive Master of Business Administration program is designed to provide the knowledge and skills needed to become an effective leader and manager in any reputable organization. It embraces students from all backgrounds but with working experience of at least 3 years. The main goal of the programme is to equip students with knowledge and competencies and transform them into effective leaders and managers of reputable organizations.
The objectives of the programme are to:
- Provide the students with analytical, critical thinking and other key managerial skills;
- Develop analytical tools for decision making in technically competitive corporate world;
- Produce leaders and managers who are can ably apply technology/ICT in management and operations of organizations;
- Advance the development of skills in leadership and management that promote the use of internationally accepted professional standards of Total Quality Management (TQM).
- Deepen the theoretical and practical knowledge of the students in problem solving, policy formulation and implementation and in management of organizations.
- Develop skills and tools for organizational growth and development.
- Meet the needs of the organizations by offering opportunities for further development of their employees who meet the minimum admission requirements of the programme.

- A Bachelor’s degree with at least lower second class in any field or its equivalent from a recognized institution; OR
- A professional qualification equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree from a recognized professional body.

Program Duration
The Executive Master of Business Administration (EMBA) degree is a two-year programme. The programme consists of two parts: a coursework part and a dissertation component. The programme of study will last four semesters. Students will be required to take 15 courses. In addition, students shall undertake a study leading to a dissertation. The work on the dissertation shall commence in the first semester of second year and continue until when the student successfully defends the dissertation.
