Postgraduate Diploma in Information Technology

The PGD in Information Technology is aimed at equipping students with necessary skills through engaging them in rigorous intellectual analysis, critique and problem solving using a variety of teaching and learning techniques.

The programme is designed to enable students to make decisions that span IT disciplines, innovate, take lead in Data-Mining, Cloud Computing, Business Analyst, Business Intelligence, ICT Infrastructure, Information Management, Mobile Devices, Network Design and Management, Security and Forensics, Quality Assurance, System Architecture disciplines.

The curriculum enables students to develop analytical tools for decision making in an IT dynamic world of complex business processes and problems and build IT human resource capacity in both public and private sectors.

Admission Requirements

The candidate must be a holder of either:

  1. A Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science, Software Engineering and Computer Engineering from a recognized University/Institution or its equivalent.
  2. Any other degree with evidence of having taken acceptable courses in Information Systems.
Program Duration

The program will extend over a period of one academic year. An academic year shall consist of two semesters and one recess term. A semester shall consist of 15 weeks of lectures. A recess term shall consist of 10 weeks.
