Dr. Erasma Demeris Rutechura

Dr. Erasma Demeris Rutechura is the current Dean of the UTAMU Law School. As dean, she is deeply committed to building legal education for a changing society.

She is a renowned legal scholar and expert in Oil and gas law and Environmental & Natural Resources Law.

Her professional teaching roles have included, among others, serving as a Coordinator of the Centre for Mineral, Petroleum and Environmental Law at Saint Augustine University of Tanzania, Director of the Centre for Natural Resources Law at Saint Augustine University of Tanzania, Senior Lecturer at Victoria University Kampala Uganda, and Dean School of Law, Victoria University.

She has been vital at developing Curricular for Undergraduate studies (LL.B) in different Universities.
