The Uganda Technology and Management University (UTAMU) on Thursday 24th November 2022, held her 7th graduation ceremony at the new main campus in Kungu. Over 300 students were awarded graduate and postgraduate degrees and diplomas in various fields of study.
The ceremony was graced by Hon. General Katumba Wamala who was the Chief Guest.
This was an Hybrid Graduation Ceremony since it was held both physical and online via all the UTAMU social media pages.
This Graduation was like no other in the history of UTAMU because for the first time it was held on the soils owned by UTAMU and this was such a joyful experience for the parents, students, and staff.
The event massively attracted the press and for over a week, the media was washed with what sufficed that day.
It left a mark which shall always be remembered even by generations to come as it was held on the “Promised Land” that Prof. Venansius Baryamureeba promised the UTAMU family at the earlier 6th Graduation Ceremony.
At that event, he stated that “…the 7th graduation ceremony will be held at the UTAMU main campus in Kungu”.
