Ms. Dina Bangi
Senior Human Resource and Administrative Officer
Ms. Bangi is a Human Resource professional with experience in Human Resource Management, Administration, lecturing, and sales and marketing, gained across the education, hospitality, manufacturing, and logistics and distribution sectors. She brings strong experience in HR leadership, employee relations, performance management, compliance, staff development and administration.
Ms. Bangi holds a Master's Degree in Human Resource Management from Makerere University Business School/Makerere University, which she pursued from 2023 to 2026. She also holds a Bachelor's Degree in Human Resource Management from Makerere University Business School/Makerere University, obtained from 2014 to 2018.
Prior to joining UTAMU, Ms. Bangi served as Human Resource and Administration Manager at Errimat Industries Limited (Nice Foam-Uganda), where she led learning and development programmes, employee engagement and welfare initiatives, HR compliance and reporting, performance management, workforce planning and administrative operations. She also advised management on organisational planning, restructuring and change management.
Previously, she served as Human Resource & Administration Officer at Kembabazi Catering Center Limited, where her responsibilities included organisational restructuring, HR planning, labour compliance, HR policy formulation, performance management, payroll administration, training, employee benefits and general operations.
From 2020 to 2023, Ms. Bangi was Human Resource Manager at Smartec Electronics Limited (Hisense Uganda) and Noble Electronics, where she worked on HR policies and procedures, recruitment and onboarding, salary structures, payroll, staff development, performance management, contractual frameworks, employee insurance, probation tracking and HR reporting. She also provided HR advice to senior management and coordinated HR initiatives from top management and the Board.
Earlier in her career, Ms. Bangi worked as a Lecturer and Human Resource Consultant, teaching courses in Human Resource Management, Training and Development, Industrial Relations, HR Policies and Principles, Business Communication and Research Skills. She also provided HR consultancy services covering payroll development, performance targets, appraisals and employee relations.
She has also gained experience in marketing and client relations, having served as a Marketing Executive at Quality Assurance Examination Services.
Ms. Bangi's profile reflects particular strengths in communication and interpersonal relations, leadership and problem-solving, compliance and reporting, HR systems, budgeting, teamwork and working within demanding timelines. She is also proficient in HR systems including Popay, Karibu and Odoo.
