Digital communication increasingly depends on strong visual content, motion graphics, 3D assets and animation for advertising, social media, education, architecture, product presentation, film, games and online business. This creates opportunities for learners who can move beyond static graphics and produce professional visual assets for multiple platforms.
The programme is designed as a practical creative-production certificate. Participants begin with visual design and multimedia graphics, progress into 3D modelling, materials, lighting and rendering, then learn rigging, keyframe animation and motion design before completing a market-ready portfolio and capstone project. Blender shall be the principal 3D application because it provides an integrated pipeline for modelling, UV work, texturing, rigging, animation, rendering, compositing and video editing.
Career Prospects
The programme is intentionally portfolio-driven. By completion, each participant should possess demonstrable creative work rather than only theoretical knowledge.
Target Participants
- Senior school leavers, university students and graduates interested in creative digital careers.
- Graphic designers seeking to add 3D modelling, motion and animation skills.
- Digital marketers, social-media content creators and communication professionals.
- Artists, photographers, videographers and multimedia producers.
- Entrepreneurs and SME teams that need product visualisation and promotional content.
- Architecture/interior-design learners requiring introductory 3D visualisation skills.
- Teachers and instructional-content developers creating digital learning materials.
- Beginners interested in animation, game assets, advertising or freelance creative work.
Programme Objectives
The programme aims to equip participants with practical creative competencies in multimedia graphics, 3D modelling, texturing, lighting, rendering, rigging, animation and portfolio production for employment, freelancing, entrepreneurship and further learning.
Learning Outcomes
By the end of the programme, a successful participant should be able to:
- Apply core principles of composition, typography, colour, branding and visual hierarchy.
- Create and prepare raster/vector graphics and multimedia assets for digital use.
- Navigate Blender confidently and manage objects, scenes, cameras and collections.
- Construct clean 3D models using appropriate mesh-modelling techniques and modifiers.
- Apply materials, textures and UV mapping to 3D assets.
- Set up lighting, cameras and render settings for attractive still images.
- Use keyframes, timelines, graph editing and animation principles to create motion.
- Create basic armatures, rig and animate a simple character or object.
- Develop simple motion graphics, animated logos, titles or promotional sequences.
- Render and export multimedia outputs in suitable formats for web, social media and presentation.
- Plan, produce and present a coherent creative portfolio and capstone project.
