The Uganda Law Students Association (ULSA) was born out of the need to create a space that can unite all Law societies in Uganda and enable not only interaction but cultivate discussion of aspects and issues concerning the Law.
ULSA held its handover ceremony at Uganda Technology and Management University (UTAMU) on 29th September 2025, It was graced by Counsel Isiko Arthur, the treasurer of Uganda Law society who stood in for Counsel Isaac Kimeze Ssemakadde. He appreciated UTAMU for hosting such a colourful and memorable event.Other prominent guests in attendance included; Dr. Wilfred Kokas Aupal the principal UTAMU Bugolobi Campus among others.
The event was well attended by all the 19 Law Societies in Uganda which comprised; UTAMU Law Society, Gulu University Law Society, Uganda Christian University Law Society Mukono, Uganda Christian Law society Kampala, Makerere Law Society, Kampala International University Law Society, Bishop Stuart University Law Society, Nkumba University Law Society, IUIU Law Society Kampala Campus, IUIU Main Campus, IUIU Kabojja campus, Cavendish University Law Society, Uganda Pentecostal University Law Society, IUEA Law society ampong others.
At the same function, UTAMU University Law society was officially welcomed to the ULSA family as the latest member represented by Mr. Duncan Biyinzika who is its first President.
