Career Prospects
Graduates of this programme shall qualify to earn an equivalent of Post Graduate Diploma in Education with Technology. They shall therefore be qualified to be admitted for further Masters’ Degree studies for programs in Education.
Programme Objectives
The objective of the UTAMU Post Graduate Diploma in Education with Technology is to support Teaching Assistants, Assistant Lecturers, and Lecturers who do not have a teaching background to get equipped with the basics of teaching including Online Teaching and Learning.
Learning Outcomes
The graduate of the UTAMU Post Graduate Diploma Education with Technology programme shall be able to:
- Demonstrate knowledge, attitudes, and skills of digital age work and learning.
- Plan, design, and assess effective learning environments and experiences.
- Implement curriculum methods and strategies that use technology to maximize student learning.
- Develop technology-enabled assessment and evaluation strategies.
Admission Requirements
To be admitted, candidates must have a Bachelor’s Degree or its equivalent from a recognized institution.
Candidates should have access to the Internet to participate in the online sessions and be available to attend the face-to-face intensive sessions.
Program Duration
The program will extend over a period of two academic years. An academic year shall consist of two semesters. A semester shall consist of 15 weeks of lectures.
