Programme Objectives
The broad goal of the program is to provide students with the theoretical and practical foundations in content and competencies that will support their development as effective managers and organizational leaders in different contexts. The programme will enable the students to:
- Ensure the growth of professional Accounting and Finance practice where its practitioners have in common a shared foundation.
- Describe the analytical tools for decision making in a business world of complex business issues and problems.
- Explain the development of skills in finance and accounting (i.e IFRSs, IAS etc..).
- Give contemporary skills of analysis, critical thinking, synthesis and evaluation in relation to business dynamics to the students.
- Identify needs of the industries by offering opportunities for further development of their employees.
Learning Outcomes
At the end of the programme the students will:
- Use organizational resources efficiently and effectively.
- Apply the key administrative and management skills in critical decision making.
- Develop capabilities in ensuring sustainability of organizations.
Demonstrate superior competence in addressing a myriad of organizational problems within the context of a changing and unstable environment.
Admission Requirements
The admission requirements comprise any of the following:
- A Bachelor’s degree in any field or its equivalent from a recognized institution; OR
- A professional qualification equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree from a recognized professional body.
Program Duration
The program will extend over a period of one academic year. An academic year shall consist of two semesters and one recess term. A semester shall consist of 15 weeks of lectures. A recess term shall consist of 10 weeks.
