Dr. Joyce Nalunga Birimumaaso is a seasoned legal professional with over 20 years of experience in litigation, adjudication, mediation, arbitration, and legal leadership. She currently serves as a Member of the Leadership Code Tribunal (Uganda), where she adjudicates cases, delivers judgments, and contributes to policy formulation.
Career Highlights
Leadership Code Tribunal (2020–Present): Judicial functions, mediation, arbitration, case management, and policy development.
CEO, Uganda Law Society (2018–2020): Oversaw policy implementation, stakeholder engagement, litigation management, compliance, and organizational leadership.
Chairperson, Pro-bono Board Committee (2017–2020): Provided strategic leadership, promoted access to justice, and ensured accountability in donor-funded programs.
Managing Partner, Nalunga-Birimumaaso & Co. Advocates (2009–2018): Led a team of 15+ staff, managed firm operations, advocacy, compliance, and resource mobilization.
